Stunning portrait of Jimi Hendrix taken by Barrie Wentzell in London in 1968.
Barrie Wentzell recalls, “On a rather dark and rainy afternoon I went over to see Jimi to take a few shots for the upcoming tour he was starting, just after he had returned from a long U.S. tour. When I got there I found him alone in his manager Mike Jefferys office, slumped in a chair behind a desk stacked with paperwork and confusion. Jimi seemed a bit down in spirits. As I took a few shots I asked him if he was ok. He looked up and said Sorry, but its all this business crap and the pressure of touring all the time and all I want to do is write and play my music. He looked out of the window and I took this pensive portrait.
