Alec recalls - "I was expecting Dylan to arrive with his bohemian look, long hair, shades, and a hat—the way we’d last seen him—but he walked in with short hair and a trimmed beard, wearing blue jeans and a white shirt. He looked young and fit. Nobody had really seen much of him since his motorcycle accident three years before. There had been all sorts of rumors that he might never come back, but now here he was, evidently in the best of health. Clapton may have been God, but this was like the return of the Messiah."
