New Series: Nevermind Color Slide Prints by Kirk Weddle |

We’re pleased to announce a new collection of prints from the famous Nirvana swimming pool photo shoot for Nevermind by Kirk Weddle, featuring the original color slides taken in 1991

These images are incredibly important. They’re an important piece of rock history, and they also mean a lot to me personally as a musician and as a fan.
— - Steven Walker, Owner of Modern Rocks Gallery

Just as Nirvana was tearing up the rock 'n roll rule book with their major label debut Nevermind, Austin Photographer Kirk Weddle was commissioned to shoot the band for photos to promote their impending blitz.

His idea? Toss the band into a swimming pool to mimic the album's infamous cover image he’d shot a few months earlier.
